Former NECROPHOBIC/DARK FUNERAL Guitarist Preparing To Record New Demo

February 4, 2009

Swedish guitarist David Parland (NECROPHOBIC, DARK FUNERAL, INFERNAL) recently joined forces with drummer Tomas Asklund (ex-DARK FUNERAL, DISSECTION, INFERNAL) in an as-yet-unnamed new project. According to Parland, "me and Tomas have finished about 90 % of the core material for the first demo. Things are going faster than expected and pretty well. The demo will be recorded within two months, and as soon as it is finished, we will put up excerpts/trailers on MySpace for people to hear. We may even do a website only for this project, but so far we will use this (my personal website) for this new band/project.

"The yet nameless demo will contain three tracks (four if you count the one-minute intro) and will have the following song/titles:

01. The Darkside Calls (intro)
02. Of The Seven Gates
03. Killing Christ
04. Godforsaken (With Hate I Burn)

"Those expecting the DARK FUNERAL/INFERNAL hyperspeed/blastbeat style, might be slightly dissapointed, since this is more along the lines of older death/black metal, something like a cross between old NECROPHOBIC, DISSECTION and SLAYER. There will be some blastbeats here and there though, but nothing like the earlier bands mentioned.

"Another demo will be recorded later this year and then hopefully right after that well go into the studio and record the whole full-length. (Yet nameless as well as this new band/project. But it will solve soon since we are of course thinking hard of the what name we will use for this new band.)
